Submissions
The Modern Story accepts
submissions of short fiction, poetry, book reviews and essays. We
ask that the work you submit is original and previously unpublished.
We seek high quality work both traditional and experimental. We
encourage our writers to be innovative without letting it compromise
the emotional core of their work. We do not accept genre fiction.
Reviews should be no more than
1500 words.
Literary Essays should be no more
than 3000 words.
Short stories
should be no more than 10 000 words.
